So I was scheduled to head back home, but I heard about how there was a family reunion just two days after the conference. I was able to get things cleared with work, so I was able to stay the extra weekday and attend the family reuion.
I’m staying at Charlie and Linda’s place for the next couple of days, and my Mom arrived earlier today. I’m not sure how exactly I’m related to most of the people here (my mom excepted) so I’ve been given a couple names (ie, Ruby was my grandmother) that everyone else would recognize. With those names everyone else can probably approximately trace how they are related to me.
Today was spend visiting several relatives and taking care of some errands from around town (in addition to sightseeing). We’re currently in Forsythe, Missori.
We went to “Captain D’s” for lunch. This is a fish-ish (ie seafood) restaurant. I was not a shark this time so I didn’t eat everything and everyone in the room. The shrimp on my plate were not so fortunate.
The “Show Me” state is certainly showing me a good sized group of people to which I am related.
I’d also like to extend a thank you to Matt for hosting this blog, making the series of tubes a slightly better place.
